Old Bailey Proceedings (manual data capture and XML tagging)
The objective of the project was to develop a searchable digitized online archive of all surviving editions of the Old Bailey Proceedings from 1674 to 1834 (www.oldbaileyonline.org). In this project, ABWW was involved in two crucial BPO activities - data capture by manual keying and marking/tagging up the captured content with XML code in structured pattern for pre-organized and fast searching. Project was undertaken on behalf of University of Hertfordshire, UK. Nearly 60,000 Old Bailey page images generating a huge volume of text output comprising over 300,000,000 characters was executed within a period of 6 months.
Document Indexing & Archiving
These outsourced projects require generating index database by capturing data from scanned source images/documents and also archiving the source files following predefined specification from the client. Such projects are being undertaken on behalf of a large Data Warehousing Company in UK. Volume of over 0.3 million transactions every month is being handled.
Data Transcription and Format Conversion
Presently ABWW has been engaged in carrying out a series of different types of data transcription projects that involve manual data keying, OCR/ICR capture, matching/validation, format conversion (any to any) etc. Most of these projects require generation of 99.9+ % accurate outputs within tight time frames of 24 to 72 hours for both domestic & overseas clients.
Forms Processing
Capturing data from Forms using combination of OCR/ICR/OMR and manual keying techniques depending on the requirements; Presently, ABWW has been processing different kinds of forms including Survey Forms, Insurance forms, timesheets, purchase ledgers etc. These projects are outsourced by some of the Market Survey and BPO Organization in UK. Currently volume being handled is in the range of 25,000-30,000 Forms every month.
Ebook Application
Ebook conversion, editing, page cropping, recompilation, content & article indexing etc. This project was done for a Large Global Pharmaceutical company on behalf of a large data processing company in UK. Project involved about 6 million pages.
Electronic Records Generation
Generation of electronic public records by capturing data from hardcopy source. End client was Public office in Northern Ireland, Government of UK, through a UK based Bureau. Volume of work was nearly 5 million
